LSE Law School is pleased to host a special academic event celebrating the outstanding contribution of Professor Stephen Weatherill to the study of European Union sports law and policy. The event, co-organised with the Association for the Study of Sport and the European Union (Sport & EU, www.sportandeu.com) will mark the award of the association’s honorary membership to Professor Weatherill in recognition of his pioneering scholarship in this field, support of fellow academics, and contribution to the development of the Sport&EU association.

The afternoon will feature two expert panels bringing together leading scholars and practitioners from across Europe. The first panel will explore contemporary issues in sports law, followed by a second panel examining sports governance.
