LTS Book Launch: Anne Laure Bandle, The Sale of Misattributed Artworks and Antiques at Auction (Second Edition, Edward Elgar, 2024)

This is a book launch featuring the author Dr Anne Laure Bandle, Richard Dorment (writer of Warhol after Warhol: Power and Money in the Modern Art World (Pan Macmillan, 2023), and Dr Tatiana Flessas (LSE), who will introduce the event. The new edition of the book explores the process of attribution of artworks and antiques at auction, and the commercial directive of auction houses when authenticating art and protecting themselves against misattributions. Dr Bandle provides an extensive study through an in-depth analysis of the contractual relationships, liabilities and remedies that arise in the context of auction sales.
