Masterclass (The Future of Law): The future of the legal profession

9 November @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Convene events are organised for members of the LSE community.

Speakers: Bruce Braude and Professor David Kershaw

The Future of Law is a two-part Masterclass, in which Bruce Braude (Global Chief Technology Officer at Deloitte Legal), Professor David Kershaw (Dean of the LSE Law School), and Dr Giulia Gentile (Fellow in Law, LSE Law School) will discuss how the legal services landscape and the role of the lawyer are changing due to developments in legal technology and in business practice.

In the first of these, Bruce Braude and Professor David Kershaw will explore current needs of General Counsel and how organisations such as Deloitte and other alternative legal providers are aiming to address these needs. They will explore the creation of multi-disciplinary service offerings, globalisation, the impact of digitalisation and the changing mindset needed by lawyers to deliver on these needs.
