The Value of Online Dispute Resolution

In this talk Professor Arno Lodder of the Amsterdam Law and Technology Institute will discuss the value of both online consumer review mechanisms and online dispute resolution services as a way to deal with consumer disputes which arise through transactions in the online environment.

Speaker: Professor Arno Lodder

Professor Arno Lodder is Professor of Internet Governance and Regulation at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Board Member of the Amsterdam Law and Technology Institute. He is the author of Enhanced Dispute Resolution Through the Use of Information Technology and is co-editor (with Andrew Murray) of EU Regulation of E-Commerce: A Commentary. He is a Deputy Judge of the Rechtbank Amsterdam.
