    David Lock KC is a Visiting Professor at LSE. He qualified as a barrister in 1986, was elected to parliament in 1997, became a minister in 1999 and then lost his parliamentary seat in 2001. He then worked ā€œin house at a major law firm, running a national Health Law practice and returned to the Bar in 2008. He took silk in 2011 and is lead author of NHS Law and Practice, the leading practitionerā€™s guide to the NHS.
