The DFG LawFin Center at Goethe University in Frankfurt, the LSE Law School, the Faculty of Law of the University of Oxford, and the Institute for Law & Economics at the University of Pennsylvania, together with ECGI, are pleased to announce the convening of “The Law and Finance of Private Equity and Venture Capital” on June 11-12, 2025, at LSE Law School in London.
All Constitutions need to guarantee that fundamental norms will be complied with credibly. Constitutions — especially in the Global South — have accordingly established independent guarantor institutions (Election Commissions, Auditors-General, Human Rights Commissions, anti-corruption watchdogs, etc). This event, part of our series celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Constitution of India, will discuss the conditions in which guarantor institutions can work independently and effectively in South Asia.
There is significant concern about the state and well-being of the UK’s equity capital markets. Last year at LSE’s Revitalising the FTSE seminar, we explored the role of regulation in the decline of the FTSE, with a particular focus on Listing Rule Reform.
